Melissa Spikes-Archer

Melissa Archer is the proud wife, mother of 3 and grandfur mother of 9. Melissa has a deep commitment to health and wellness of individuals, families, and communities.
Melissa is the Chief Operating Officer of the Buffalo Urban League, where her operations leadership empower communities and change lives. She is a Board Certified Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Melissa is a graduate of D’Youville University, holding a Masters in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
She received her B.S. in Nursing at Daemen University and an A.A.S in Nursing from Trocaire College. Melissa was recently awarded the Distinguished Trocaire Alumni Award. As well as the NAACP Presidential Award. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, an international honor nursing society and serves as the Governance Chair.
She is a board member of Mental Health Advocates of WNY, Women’s Health Broadcast Board. She is an Open Buffalo Emerging Leader Graduate. She is on the board of The Auxiliary National Medical Association. She is the Vice President of the Buffalo Chapter of Girl Friends; Inc. Melissa is also a Veteran of the Unites States Army.
Melissa is a fierce supporter of self-care/ coping strategies to “bring down the temperature” of our everyday struggle to live and thrive. Her practice in and out of the office is helping others find the BEST version of themselves every day.
