
Joshua Brown
Manager, Workforce Development Division, National Urban League
Joshua holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in finance from Florida A&M University where he graduated Cum Laude.
In his current role as Manager of Operations within the National Urban League’s Workforce Development Division, Joshua supports the effective administration and performance of the Division’s full programmatic portfolio. He provides cross-program operational support to strengthen reporting, compliance, and coordination across initiatives. He leads the Division’s contract and grant tracking processes, co-develops operational procedures, and ensures quality assurance in reporting and invoicing.
Previously he served as an Associate within the Workforce Development Division of the Agency and responsibilities lied within the Urban Seniors Jobs Program. In this capacity he was responsible for project management and coordination of the Urban Seniors Jobs portfolio by aiding programmatic activities and proving guidance and solutions to Urban League affiliates. Prior to the National Urban League, Joshua served as an advisor for Gray Global Associates, an advisory firm specializing in comprehensive global business consulting and government affairs strategies. In this role, he was responsible for engagement with clients, organizing events and participating in all phases of outreach and coordination. Joshua also assisted with tracking ongoing legislation and congressional meetings, which in turn helped inform strategic guidance on public and regulatory policy for clients.
Joshua also previously worked within the Private Wealth Management division at Goldman Sachs. At Goldman Sachs he was responsible for creating enhanced portfolio overviews with a focus on fixed income, equites, alternative investments, and private equity for ultra-high-income clients. He worked closely with clients to understand their risk appetite within the market and helped design plans that would allow them to reach their financial goals.
Joshua is currently a Master of Science candidate at Columbia University where he is pursuing a degree in Sustainability Management within the School of Professional Studies.
