HOUSTON, TX (July 26, 2023) – On the heels of recent life altering decisions handed down by the Supreme Court and a looming Presidential election, the National Urban League launched its 2023 Conference with a rally centered on the nation’s most pressing issues including Civil Rights, Gun Safety, Women’s Rights and Economic Justice.

HOUSTON, TEXAS (July 27, 2023) – National Urban League President and CEO Marc H. Morial today introduced a new phase of advocacy and activism – Empowerment 2.0 – that builds upon the five-part Empowerment Agenda he unveiled in his first State of the Urban League address 20 years ago.

GARY (July 24, 2023) – The Urban League of Northwest Indiana (Gary, IN) graduated some Senior Tekkies recently.

“Senior Tekkies” is a program that helps seniors learn basic digital literacy skills. The workshops were taught by Chelsea Whittington, CEO of C WHITT PR.

At the graduation ceremony, she said, “Working with seniors gives my heart such joy. It’s like being in a room filled with my parents who are eager to learn. We have lots of fun in class, and I try hard to remove hesitation or concerns they may have about working with technology.”
