Urban League of Kansas Hosts Diversity Career Fair Bringing Awareness to the Community

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Several employers from various industries attended the second annual Diversity Career Fair hosted by the Urban League of Kansas. Employers met with job seekers to discuss career opportunities and job openings in their business sectors.

Urban League Secures $1.6 Million Funding to Expand Vital Community Initiative

The Urban League of Union County (Elizabeth, NJ) is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded more than a third of the $3.9 million funding package secured by Representative Rob Menendez to serve the citizens of Elizabeth, New Jersey. As part of the appropriations bill passed by Congress and signed into law by President Biden as part of the final spending package for fiscal year 2024, the organization is set to receive a total contribution of $1.6 million. The funds will be used in the continuing development of the Urban League of Union County's Workforce Project.

Urban League Works to Accelerate Northeast Ohio Black Business Growth

Business owner Terrell Dillard said his two companies "were busting at the seams" when he went out for a six-figure loan in 2022. The former banking executive knew the commercial lending landscape but didn't take the usual route. Instead, he turned to the Urban League of Greater Cleveland (Cleveland, OH) and its UBIZ Venture Capital fund.
