The Urban League of Greater Hartford Celebrates College Signing Day

On May 1st, the Urban League of Greater Hartford Project Ready Mentor program commemorated National College Signing Day with our annual signature event. College Signing Day was a joyful and inspiring celebration as we honored 13 Project Ready Mentor Scholars graduating from high school and officially committing to attend a 2- or 4-year college or university.

The event marked a significant milestone in their academic journeys. It was filled with pride, excitement, and community spirit in the presence of some of their peers, parents, mentors, and Youth Advisory Council members. In addition to celebrating our college-bound seniors, we recognized other students in the program for their academic achievements and personal growth throughout the year.

Local institutions and community partners imparted wisdom, inspiration, and guidance. The vibe and atmosphere were fun and festive, including food, games, prizes, and gift bags for the seniors to send them off with support and love. It was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when dedication meets opportunity, and we couldn’t be prouder of our scholars and the bright futures ahead of them. These post-secondary institutions BETTER MAKE ROOM for the Class of 2025!
