Urban League of Greater Atlanta Receives $1M
ATLANTA (Feb. 13, 2023) - Mayor Andre Dickens announced the recipients of the first two cycles of the City’s Youth Development Grant Awards. A total of $1,000,000 in American Rescue Plan funds were awarded to the Urban League of Greater Atlanta (Atlanta, GA) to facilitate the issuance of the grants to local community-based organizations that provide programming and services to Atlanta students up to age 18 in grades K through 12.

Pittsburgh Urban League Prioritizing Economic Opportunity
PITTSBURGH (Feb. 13, 2023) – Pittsburgh Urban League (Pittsburgh, PA) CEO Carlos T. Carter spoke at a church this past Sunday, Feb. 12th to speak on how the Urban League is focusing on economic opportunity for the community.
Speaking at the Mount Ararat Baptist Church in Larimar for Urban League Sunday, Mr. Carter spoke to the congregation on how the Urban League, entering it’s 105th year of operation, is looking to prioritize economic opportunity.
Urban League Sunday is a celebration that the Urban League hosts during Black History Month that is held at a different church yearly. It highlights the longstanding partnership between the Urban League and Black churches in the Pittsburgh region.
