NASHVILLE (Jan. 8, 2024) – The Urban League of Middle Tennessee (Nashville, TN) was the lucky recipient of a community grant from LP Building Solutions, celebrating its 50th year.

The LP Foundation, reflecting LP's commitment to "Building a Better World™," directed these contributions to aid more than 80 nonprofit organizations and public schools. The focus areas, including affordable housing, environmental preservation, STEM education, and diversity promotion, resonated with LP's core values and mission.

The LP Foundation operates five philanthropic programs, encompassing community grants, disaster relief, team member sponsorships, giving matches, and a notable partnership with the Gary Sinise Foundation. Notably, the LP Foundation awarded a community grant to the Urban League of Middle Tennessee's Real Estate Developers Academy, emphasizing support for minorities in the housing industry and addressing the affordable housing shortage in Nashville.

Clifton Harris, President and CEO of the Urban League, lauded LP's commitment to the local community.

“A leader in the construction and building solutions industry, LP is recognized for its commitment to and support of our local community,” he said. “LP’s generous investment in support of ULMT’s Real Estate Developers Academy is making a significant impact as we work collaboratively in seeking solutions to our community’s affordable housing needs. LP’s purpose of ‘Building a Better World’ closely aligns with our goal of ‘Building Better Lives by Empowering Communities and Changing Lives,’ and we are excited to have this opportunity to work with the LP team now and well into the future.”
