TEDxUStreetWomen Conference: Bold + Brilliant = Badass: Now What? Virtual
Launched in 2009, TEDx is program of locally organized events that bring the community together to share a TED-like experience. Some of the best talks from TEDx events have gone on to be featured on TED.com and garnered millions of views from audiences across the globe.
TEDxUStreetWomen will bring together a diverse group of people to showcase the community of the U Street Corridor. The U Street corridor has historically brought Washingtonians together to the sound of its homegrown music, from jazz and blues to rock and go-go. We will celebrate the community of the U Street Corridor by showcasing local performers, TEDTalk videos, live speakers, hosting a unique restaurant row tasting experience (in our vendor hall), a live simulcast of the TEDWomen Conference in Palm Springs CA, and organizing two community pre-events that will set the stage for this local TEDx event. This TEDxUStreetWomen conference will be an exciting opportunity for individuals to hear fascinating experiences, innovative ideas as well as experience the taste and sounds of the community of U Street Corridor and Washington DC.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.) Information on TEDx is available at http://www.ted.com/tedx/.
