Biden, Harris, Other 2020 Presidential Hopefuls to Visit Indy for Urban League Conference

Former Vice President and 2020 presidential hopeful Joe Biden will visit Indianapolis between July 24 and July 27.

Biden and others are set to participate in the National Urban League's 2019 Conference at the Indiana Convention Center.

Besides Biden, several candidates seeking the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination are scheduled, including Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, Cory Booker and Pete Buttigieg.

The First Tee of Central MS and MS Urban League Announce Partnership

The Mississippi Urban League (Jackson, MS), Inc. and First Tee of Central Mississippi are partnering with 100 Black Men of Jackson to expose inner city youth to the sport of golf.

Each year, the Mississippi Urban League, an affiliate of the National Urban League, develops a summer program designed to insure children are provided with healthy meals, academic and cultural enrichment activities, activities that promote health and wellness and a safe, secure environment in which to spend their out-of-school time. The program serves children and youth between the ages of 8 and 17 years old.

MSD plans to expand opportunity, build equity within Louisville’s water workforce

Metro Sewer District has partnered with other metro agencies to expand opportunities within its workforce. The company released the Water Equity Roadmap on Thursday - a first for the company and part of a larger Equity Task Force including cities like Atlanta, Milwaukee and Pittsburgh.
