NASHVILLE (Jan. 23, 2023) – The Urban League of Middle Tennessee (Nashville, TN) is celebrating 55 years of service.

On Tuesday, February 7, the Urban League will be hosting their 55th Annual Equal Opportunity Luncheon at the Music City Center.

This year’s theme is “Closing the Disparities,” which will have the Urban League focus on ways to close the inequity gap that communities of color face. This year there will be a panel discussion on how underserved communities can achieve social, economic, and civil equity.

The panel will be hosted by the Urban League’s President and CEO, Clifton Harris, who said, “Helping our neighbors is important to the Urban League of Middle Tennessee. We care about our neighbors – it’s the motivation behind empowering communities and changing lives. The door of opportunities before us is to help our neighbors in need is great. With your support, we are empowered to provide workforce employment services over the days, weeks, and months ahead for our neighbors. We are stronger together.”

This year’s event is expected to have the largest number of attendees – over 500 attendees from all over the business, community, and civic community are expected to attend.
