During a surge of COVID-19 cases, the city of Cincinnati will open testing sites to six new locations, the Urban League of Greater Southwest Ohio being amongst them.

Cincinnati has reported an incredible 999 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday. Earlier in the week, city health officials have said that cases were doubling every three days.

The additional testing sites are either in minority-majority neighborhoods or in buildings linked to minority communities.

The new mayor, Aftab Pureval, has emphasized that the need for more testing options is at an all-time high.

“We are not waiting,” he said.

The new testing sites will be open to the public on Monday, January 10th.
