CHATTANOOGA – The Urban League of Greater Chattanooga (Chattanooga, TN) had the incredible distinction of inducting three members to the prestigious Quarter Century Club.

Last month, during the National Urban League’s annual conference that took place in Washington, D.C., the Chattanooga affiliate inducted Judge Curtis Collier, Dorothy Lee Grisham, and Albert Waterhouse to the Quarter Century Club. The Quarter Century Club is a distinguished group of individuals that have dedicated 25 years of service to the NUL movement. This group includes affiliate board members, Guild members, affiliate or NUL staff members, or any combination of these positions.

Ms. Grisham, along with other inductees, were honored at a dinner during the conference. She was presented with the pin by the Urban League of Greater Chattanooga’s President and CEO Candy Johnson. Both Judge Collier and Mr. Waterhouse were unable to join in person.

At the ceremony, Johnson said, “We are honored to celebrate these three individuals from our local movement who have shown tremendous dedication to our mission for decades. As I have worked alongside each of these members, I can tell you how passionate they are about making a positive impact for Chattanooga’s communities of color and those who lack access to resources.”

Ms. Grisham has been a member of the movement since 1996, both as a affiliate board member and chair. She is a strong fundraiser for her affiliate, and currently serves on the Juvenile Court Foster Care Review Board.

U.S. Federal Judge Curtis Collier has been a member of the Urban League’s board since 2000. He was nominated as U.S. District Court judge by President Bill Clinton, being confirmed by the Senate in May 1995. Not only a member of the NUL movement, he’s also a member of several other civic, fraternal, social, and religious organizations.

Mr. Waterhouse is the president of Waterhouse Public Relations. He has been a part of the NUL movement since 1995, where he met former Urban League’s President and CEO, Warren Logan. He has provided countless hours of marketing and communication expertise to the Chattanooga affiliate and is responsible for their first marketing committee in 2008.
