National Urban League President Sends Letter To Twitter Opposing Proposal From Elon Musk

NATIONAL URBAN LEAGUE PRESIDENT AND CEO SENDS LETTER TO TWITTER OPPOSING PROPOSAL FROM ELON MUSK

WASHINGTON, D.C. – National Urban League President and CEO Marc H. Morial sent a letter to Board Chair Bret Taylor at Twitter urging him to reconsider Elon Musk’s proposal to purchase Twitter stock and gain ownership of the company.

The letter expresses that this decision would have potential harmful implications on users and leave them vulnerable to concerning activities seen on Twitter, including white supremacist propaganda, racial and religious hatred, voter suppression through election disinformation, algorithmic bias, and discrimination.
