Lorain County Urban League Honored

 

LORAIN COUNTY, OH - Congrats are in order for the Lorain County Urban League and President/CEO Parris Smith! They were recently honored by Leadership Lorain County in Ohio to celebrate their outstanding work and community activism. 

On February 18, Leadership Lorain County hosted their “2022 Difference Makers Gala” and honored the Lorain County Urban League with the esteemed Excellence in Leadership Award for their outstanding work and community activism. Not only was the organization celebrated, affiliate President/CEO Parris Smith was also honored with the Emerald Award for Inspirational Leadership. Deemed “a beacon of hope and a catalyst for change” by Leadership Lorain County, the Urban League could not be prouder of President Smith and her team for their continuous effort to mobilize communities hardest hit by COVID-19 as well as their strides to remove equality gaps in education, housing, workforce development, entrepreneurship, civic engagement, advocacy and health.
