Jon Batiste Will Be Special Guest at Louisville Urban League's Derby Gala

The Louisville Urban League is putting together their big annual Derby Gala, and they have some big, special guests. The gala, dubbed “Mardi Gras Louisville,” is billed as LUL’s most prestigious event of the year.In line with that, they announced Tuesday that Jon Batiste will be attending. Batiste is a 20-time Grammy nominee and a 5-time award winner. He had six nominations in the last Grammys. He's known as a virtuoso musician and composer who has reinvigorated jazz and soul with his modern style. He is also the bandleader for “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.” Batiste joins a long list of big-name guests the gala has drawn over the years, including Stevie Wonder, The Isley Brothers, Babyface and Sisqó.
