WASHINGTON, D.C.(February 12, 2025) – Following the inaugural meeting of the Demand Diversity Roundtable on January 22nd, the nation’s top civil and human rights leaders are seeking an urgent meeting with congressional leadership to address the Trump Administration’s executive actions dismantling diversity, equity, and inclusion protections.

“These attacks on equal opportunity threaten our economy, our democracy, and the progress we’ve fought for,” said Marc H. Morial, President & CEO of the National Urban League which convenes the Demand Diversity Roundtable. “Congress must act now to protect civil rights and ensure an inclusive future for all.”

In their letter, the Demand Diversity Roundtable, which represents over 100 million Americans, calls on congressional leaders to take action against the Trump Administration’s efforts to dismantle diversity, equity, and inclusion protections—actions that undermine core American values of equal opportunity and justice.
