TaWanda Hunter Stallworth, MDiv, is the Program Manager for the Antiracist Development Institute at Penn State Dickinson Law. She is native to Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and has been actively involved in many racial justice projects throughout the region over the course of her career, including serving as the Criminal Justice Co-chair for the Lancaster NAACP, serving on the Boards of Directors for both the Lancaster and Carlisle YW’s, leading the effort to rededicate Lincoln Cemetery (Memorial Park), chairing the Pennsylvania Re-entry Coalition’s Health Committee, leading the Department of Health’s Office of Health Equity’s subgroup for incarcerated and returning citizens, and co-chairing the Borough of Carlisle’s Truth & Reconciliation Commission. Mrs. Stallworth is currently serving as a co-chair for the Board of Directors for the LGBT Center of Central Pennsylvania and on the Board of Directors for Leadership Harrisburg Area.

She matriculated through the Carlisle Public School System, graduating in 1996. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Behavior and Applied Psychology from Albright College, a Master of Divinity from Lancaster Theological Seminary, having received both the preaching and worship award certificates, and a Certificate in Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion in the Workplace from the University of South Florida’s Muma College of Business. Mrs. Stallworth was featured as a future leader by the Central Pennsylvania Black Business Directory in 2021 and graduated from Leadership Harrisburg Area’s Community Leadership Series in 2021 having served as class co-spokesperson.

Mrs. Stallworth credits her lifelong participation with the African Methodist Episcopal Church as being the formative source for racial and social justice involvement. As early as age 11, Mrs. Stallworth was advocating to school district administration the importance of black history as a learning modality for her and her peers.

Her leadership in the AME Church includes serving as a local church school teacher and superintendent, Sunday School convention presenter, local YPD president, local YPD director, and local president for the Women’s Missionary Society.

Mrs. Stallworth serves as a guest host on WURD Radio and is the proud wife of Christopher Stallworth and mother of dogson, Jackson. She enjoys good food, worship, and spending time with her friends and family. Her favorite scripture is Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” As the Lord would lead her, she looks to further decolonize Christianity and redeem the lived experience of a Palestinian Jew as a model for being faithful to the Call.
