Urban League of Racine & Kenosha Host Financial Literacy Talks Throughout February

RACINE, WA – Every Wednesday in February, the Urban League of Racine and Kenosha (Racine,, WA) will host a month-long talk series to discuss financial literacy, called Financial Freedom February.

The first talk was kicked off on Wednesday, February 2nd, with a talk given by the Urban League of Racine & Kenosha’s program director, Sharmain Harris. The topic of discussion for his talk was the “Entrepreneur Startup Kit”, which will help listeners learn how to start their own business and “get on the path to financial freedom.”

On Wednesday, February 9th, Brandon Mells, community manager at Chase Bank, will discuss the topic of building credit. Next week, Wednesday, February 16th, will be held by Antonio Campbell, a Better Homes and Gardens Realty real estate agent, will discuss the topic of first-time homeownership. For the last Wednesday in February, February 23rd, financial planner Kenny Harper of Harper Tax & Financial Group, will discuss methods on getting participants “back on track” financially.

All the talks will have an underlying theme of obtaining financial freedom and stability.
