ST. LOUIS - In response to the torrential downpours that has affected the area, the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis (St. Louis, MO) has partnered with the city of St. Louis to help with flood relief.

The Mayor of St. Louis Tishaura Jones held a news conference on Saturday, July 30th to help update the city on relief efforts. She announced that the city would be partnering with several local non-profits in assisting St. Louis residents.

Mobile command centers are being stationed in the Urban League’s parking lot, along with also being in the Ellendale and Kingsway West neighborhoods. The centers will provide residents with emergency resources for relief.

According to James Clark of the Urban League, “We have gone door to door to some of the hardest hit areas, delivering food, PPE, and toiletries. We provided hotel vouchers to over 55 families whose families were lost to this historic flood.”

The Urban League is also accepting donations, from food to money to clothing, to help those who are suffering.
