TALLAHASSEE – In an effort to increase Black voter registration, the Tallahassee Urban League (Tallahassee, FL) went out to the city’s southside to register voters.

In an event held on Friday, September16th, the Tallahassee Urban League, along with other Urban Leagues across the country, took part in a national push to stress the importance of voting in all elections, not just national and state.

Curtis Taylor, president of the Urban League, said, “We have all these Urban Leagues right here in Florida and also nationally, everyone is pushing very hard to try and make sure that our citizens understand the importance of voting, the importance of registering to vote and the value of the vote.”

A rally was held in Frenchtown on Saturday, September 17th to urge citizens to register to vote.
