Morial, USCM Past President, Will Discuss The State of the American City & The Challenges Ahead

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- National Urban League President and CEO Marc H. Morial on Thursday will address the U.S. Conference of Mayors during its annual winter meeting on Thursday, January 19, at the Capitol Hilton Hotel, 1001 16th St NW, Washington, DC.

Morial is a featured speaker for Thursday’s Childhood Obesity Prevention/Environmental Health & Sustainability Plenary Lunch in the Hilton’s Presidential Ballroom.  The luncheon begins at 1pm; Morial is scheduled to speak at 2pm.  His presentation on The State of the American City & The Challenges Ahead will include a discussion of workforce and small business development, democracy, and the rise of extremism.

A former Mayor of New Orleans from 1994 to 2002, Morial served as President of the U.S. Conference of Mayors in 2001 and 2002.
