Town Hall Banner

Higher education is supposed to be the gateway to a lucrative career and an essential step toward equity – the fulfillment of the American dream. However, for too many, the dream has collapsed under the weight of crushing, never-ending debt . Join us live as federal policy makers participate in a town hall with The Urban League Guild and Young Professionals’ members on how to solve the student loan crisis. In this session, we will explore the economic and social impact of the crisis on the greater Black community and the mental anguish suffered by individuals and their families. We will also tackle potentially game-changing legislative “fixes” to alleviate the strain on Black borrowers and create a more equitable and sustainable student loan system.
