Digital tech is the language of the workplace, the classroom, and your health care provider. Increasingly, it’s the preeminent platform for political action and social activism. Either you’re digitally tuned in and tech-literate, or you will be left behind. It’s past time to eliminate the race-based digital divide and secure broad and equal access to affordable, reliable high-speed internet and up-to-date computer and communications technology. Just as necessary, people of color must master the digital literacy skills to leverage this technology for our economic and social advancement. This forward-looking panel addresses the next frontier in closing the digital divide and the impact of artificial intelligence and other future technology on the evolution of small businesses. Our experts will also discuss the role of the civil rights community in developing laws, business practices, and social norms related to emerging technologies.
