Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, National Urban League

Rhonda Spears Bell is right at the center of the fight for racial equality and racial justice. 

The 25-year media, marketing and communications veteran is the Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of the National Urban League in New York City, one of the oldest and most significant civil rights organizations in the U.S.

In this capacity, she is responsible for the strategic development and execution of all marketing and interactive strategies, media relations, major conferences and events, as well as solidifying the Urban League’s brand identity nationwide.  

Mrs. Bell serves as the Executive Producer of the National Urban League’s Annual Conference, which is the largest civil rights conference in the country that brings together thousands of the nation's leading political, business and community leaders, and influencers to share ideas and discuss strategies to combat inequality and to empower urban communities. 

She is the Creative Director of the National Urban League’s annual “State of Black America” report, which is one of the most highly-anticipated and often-cited benchmarks and sources on racial equality in America. She also led the creation, development and execution of several nationalaward-winning marketing and multi-media campaigns & initiatives. 

The Network Journal Magazine named her one of “25 Influential Black Women in Business” in 2014. PR Week named her to the “2020 Power List” for her work as a marketing executive and advocate for racial justice following the events and deaths of unarmed black men and women. Most recently, BET NETWORKS named Mrs. Bell as a “2020 Election All-Star” for her work in co-creating the national Reclaim Your Vote election campaign and the first-ever National Black Voter Day. 

She has worked at the National Urban League, which has 90 affiliates serving 300 communities in 36 states and the District of Columbia, for more than a decade.

She is a graduate of Clark Atlanta University and a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
