Greater Washington Urban League
Brenda Black is a single mother of 2 girls, 15 and 8. Despite working two jobs she was having a difficult time achieving homeownership. The Greater Washington Urban League was able to assist her in obtaining an Affordable Dwelling Unit (ADU) which provides her with options of properties for sale within a certain price range. Brenda underwent several pre-purchase sessions and income calculations to ensure she met the qualifications.
ResultAs a result of her counseling, she was able to purchase her home for a lower cost with the assistance of the Home Purchase Assistance Program and the Employer Assistance Home Purchase Program, all through the Greater Washington Urban League.
