Chicago Urban League's Awards 37 Students With Scholarships
The Chicago Urban League’s Youth Services Scholarship Program awarded 37 students a total of $58,500 in scholarship funds to support their post-secondary efforts. CUL students will be attending schools all across the country including Howard University, LSU, Morgan State, Missouri and the University of Illinois.
Result“This scholarship is making my dream of no college debt all the more possible and helping make my dream of becoming a Cardio-thoracic Surgeon become even more of a reality each day," said scholarship recipient Asharia Smith. "We need more representation, and because of the Chicago Urban League, I can inspire Black girls to reach for their dreams too.”
