Building Credit and Creating Home Buyer Readiness in Sacramento
Buying a home is a rewarding experience that gives buyers the opportunity to plants roots and build generation wealth. The mortgage process, however, can be a tough journey to navigate. Fortunately, the Greater Sacramento Urban League’s housing program has been a community partner in the process for years.
During her pre-approval process, Titania B. attending the affiliate’s Home2Own Real Talk Workshop. Upon completion, she enrolled in one-on-one credit counseling to raise her score and qualify for a better interest rate.
ResultTitania was ultimately able to raise her credit score by 97 points and, as of November, is in the process of getting a mortgage pre-approval from her credit union.
