Greater Milwaukee Urban League Celebrates Equity & Inclusion with Luncheon

MILWAUKEE (Feb. 26, 2024) - The Greater Milwaukee Urban League (Milwaukee, WI) recently celebrated individuals dedicated to promoting equity and inclusion during its annual "Equal Opportunity Day" luncheon at Milwaukee's Pfister Hotel on Monday, February 19th.

 The event, emceed by FOX6's Aaron Maybin, featured a panel discussion highlighting 2023 milestones with prominent figures such as Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley, Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson, and attorney John Daniels, Jr. The luncheon served as a platform to recognize the contributions of various individuals committed to advancing equality in the community.

Fort Wayne Urban League Partners with “Race Card Project”

FORT WAYNE (Feb. 26, 2024) - The Fort Wayne Urban League (Fort Wayne, IN) recently formed a partnership with "The Race Card Project.”

The initiative, created by journalist Michele Norris in 2010, allows people to share their stories about race in six words.

Aisha Arrington, President & CEO of the Urban League, highlighted the participation of over 100 community members who shared their six-word race or identity stories.
