That the fire is burning through classrooms, law enforcement, the right to speak, the right to assemble and the right to vote. It is the fire of hatred, extremism, and domestic terrorism. It is the fire of white supremacy.

CINCINNATI (April 17, 2023) – The Urban League of Southwestern Ohio (Cincinnati, OH) has honored exemplary community leaders for the 29th time.

NEW YORK (April 17, 2023) – New York Urban League (New York, NY) President and CEO Arva Rice has held the position of CEO for the Urban League for over 15 years. In a new interview, she speaks on leadership from a philanthropist perspective.

The Urban League received $657,312 from the state to provide support and resources for at-risk individuals. This is all a part of a program that was announced in October of 2022 to address gun violence in the Lorain County area. This came after the death of a young man in the Elyria area.
