Improving Healthcare Access One Neighborhood at a Time
Dr. Manny first connected with the Urban League of Greater Southwest Ohio Small Business Development Center (SBDC) several years ago, with a vision to open a community pharmacy in a Hamilton County neighborhood lacking local pharmacy access. The SBDC team supported his efforts by connecting him with key community partners and integrating the business into SBDC and community-sponsored events to increase visibility and engagement.
ResultSince its launch, Altev Community Pharmacy has grown into a trusted community resource. Ongoing support has focused on operational expansion, including assistance with scaling the business and acquiring larger, specialized equipment to meet community needs better and improve service delivery.
