Support Through Loss
Jaylen Hearts is a Project Ready alum of the Chicago Urban League and is currently a freshman at Roosevelt University. Jaylen’s journey through the program became especially meaningful during a time of unexpected loss. After the passing of his father, he reconsidered leaving the state so he could support his mother emotionally and financially. He leaned heavily on the guidance of his mentor.
Result“I didn’t know what my next step was, but I trusted my mentor to listen to me and figure things out without pressure,” Jaylen shared. Through ongoing conversations, he gained clarity and confidence in his decision. We are proud to offer consistent support in helping young people overcome challenges, gain critical life skills, and stay focused on long-term goals.
