 The Urban Empowerment Fund (UEF) helps Minority Business Enterprises (MBE's) gain access to capital, survive, prosper, grow, create jobs, and generate individual and community wealth.

UEF Loan Program
 

Program Overview:

  • Loan amounts range from $25,000 to $100,000
  • Repayment term extends up to seven (7) years

  •  Fixed interest rate falls between 8 % and 10 %

  • 2% closing cost which is included in the loan

  • Personal Guarantee required for all owners with
    a 20% or more stake in the business

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Businesses must have a minimum of two (2) full years of operations
  • Demonstrated 1:1 historical global cash flow capacity

  • Must be located in New York City, Cincinnati, St Louis, and Los Angeles 

  • Personal guarantors need a minimum credit score of 620

UEF 6 Step Loan Process

1. The Applicant completes a loan inquiry

2. UEF reviews the inquiry to determine eligibility and invites the Applicant to complete a loan application

3.  The Applicant completes the loan application

4. UEF underwrites the application

5. UEF issues a decision

6. If approved, UEF closes the loan
