John Thorne
Manager, Urban Senior Jobs Program
J.T. Thorne joined the National Urban League in 2022 where he provides technical assistance and strategic input to affiliates as a Manager of the Urban Senior Jobs Program. Previously, J.T. worked in the US Congress, NYC Council, NYC Mayor’s Office, and with a range of government agencies and nonprofits where he built expertise in policy analysis, advocacy, and project management. He earned his Master of Public Administration degree from NYU Wagner where he was a Public Policy and International Affairs Fellow, and his bachelor’s in Africana Studies from Tulane University. He lives in Brooklyn with his partner and their two sons where he wholeheartedly embraces his roles as a husband, father, and fantasy basketball manager.
