M. Overall

Mark is a Business Development Specialist at Buffalo Solar. In his position, Mark oversees the engineering, procurement, and construction of commercial renewable energy projects. He also seeks ways to provide equitable access to solar energy systems to homeowners, business owners, and nonprofit organizations who may not have the upfront capital to purchase these systems as easily as some of the larger, more wealthy corporations. Mark draws from his prior experience of running his own law firm and property management firm in other states to navigate the regulatory issues that his work entails, particular with the zoning, planning, legal, and code review processes.

Mark is a Buffalo native who returned in 2018 with one mission in mind: to give back to the community that raised him. Mark serves as President of the Buffalo Urban League Young Professionals, is an active member of Emerging Philanthropists of Color, a Board Member of the Bennett High School Alumni Association, a founding member of Pushin Pieces Chess Club, and a Buffalo Urban League Youth Mentor. Mark loves working with youth and helping them reach their full potential by emphasizing the value of making good decisions and avoiding a lot of the mistakes that can lead to less favorable outcomes. In his spare time, Mark enjoys reading, watching movies, and playing chess.
