Sandy-Asari Hogan, DrPH, is an Associate/Lead Scientist and Senior Program Evaluator at Booz Allen Hamilton. An intentional leader committed to service, Sandy is dedicated to raising the consciousness of the plight of Black people and other communities of color by building bridges between evaluation, research, and practice. Prior to her current role, Sandy-Asari worked as a PPEO (ORISE) Evaluation Fellow in the CDC National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC) on the Division of Analysis, Research, and Practice Integration (DARPI) team. Dr. Hogan has also served as the Maternal & Child Health Director for the Dallas & Fort Worth March of Dimes and as a policy analyst in the Department of Government Relations at Parkland Health & Hospital System in Dallas, Texas.

Sandy views her service as an opportunity to grow as a leader and apply her talents to both serve and promote justice and equity alongside other young professionals. She believes that this movement is an embodiment of her mantra that states, “an individual has not started living until [they] can rise above the narrow confines of [their] individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.” She joined the Urban League movement in 2013 through the Dallas-Fort Worth Urban League Young Professionals. Dr. Hogan currently serves the Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professionals as the Vice President and previously as the chapter Treasurer.

Dr. Hogan believes in the power of giving of one’s time, talent, and treasure. She served as a past chair of the Public Health Education & Health Promotion section of the American Public Health Association (APHA); the Immediate past President of the Society for the Analysis of African American Public Health Issues (SAAPHI) and is a current board member for Black Ladies in Public Health (BLiPH). In addition, Sandy is a 2021 Black Futures Lab Policy Institute Fellow, 2019-2020 Leader in Equitable Evaluation and Diversity Scholar, 2020 Leadership Buckhead graduate, a 2019 alumna of the Atlanta Chapter of the New Leaders Council (NLC). Dr. Hogan is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the Efik National Association, Inc USA (her Nigerian tribal community) and past member of the Junior League of Atlanta.

Sandy, a Houston, Texas native, holds a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degree with a focus in Public Health Practice and Master of Public Health degree in Community Health from the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) as well as an undergraduate degree in Forensic Science from Baylor University.
