Kendell Monk
Manager, Education & Youth Development, National Urban League
Kendell joined the National Urban League in 2017 as an extension of his 10+ year career in the field of youth development currently serving as the Manager for Education and Youth Development. In his role he oversees National Urban League’s signature education program, Project Ready supporting middle and high school aged youth transition to post-secondary success opportunities in 10+ cities.
Previously he was a Program Director at Henry Street Settlement, YMCA of Greater New York, Good Shepherd Services and Top Honors managing and developing multiple youth programs during out of school time focused on academic support, youth leadership, transition to high school and early college awareness within public schools and community centers.
On his personal time, he volunteers with Catholic Charities on their Junior Board assisting immigrants, refugees and the homeless through social service opportunities, while supporting fundraising efforts as well. He also enjoys spending his time traveling, cooking, swimming and physically training.
Kendell holds a BA degree in business administration from the City University of New York and is currently pursuing his MS degree in public administration at CUNY Baruch College.
