Dannyelle Austin continues the lessons from her own childhood and uses those lessons to transform the lives of young people across the region. Growing up in a single parent home in Philadelphia first sparked Dannyelle’s interest in helping youth rise above their circumstances and become something greater than society’s expectations. From an early age she knew that she wanted to spend her life dedicated to helping young adults develop and achieve their dreams. Dannyelle attended Franklin & Marshall College where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. She completed her Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration at Drexel University in September 2012. Her second Master’s is in Organization Development and Leadership from Saint Joseph’s University. Dannyelle’s extensive experience working with youth has given her renowned expertise in youth development, GED preparation, college readiness, workforce training and, most importantly, the integration of trauma informed methodologies throughout youth development practice. She is a Certified Trauma Competent Professional through Lakeside Global Institute. At YouthBuild Philadelphia Charter School, Dannyelle continues to be a transformative leader in her role as Chief Program Officer where she helps articulate and implement the strategic vision of the school. She is a sought-after presenter, trainer, and speaker, sharing her expertise with educators and youth development professionals across the region. |
