Dr. Lilly Immergluck

Dr. Immergluck is Morehouse School of Medicine’s site Principal Investigator for the COVID-19 Prevention Network. She is a primary care physician, an infectious disease specialist, and a population health services researcher at Morehouse School of Medicine since 2005.

She is a Professor in the Department of Microbiology/Biochemistry/Immunology and Director of the Pediatric Unit at the Clinical Research Center. Dr. Immergluck holds an adjunct appointment as Associate Professor at Emory University. Dr. Immergluck has spent over 20 years studying antibiotic-resistant infections and vaccine-preventable conditions. Over the last decade, she has used spatial statistical modeling to look at socio-ecological conditions that contribute to health disparities. Dr. Immergluck completed undergraduate studies at Northwestern University, a medical degree from the Ohio State University, her pediatric residency and infectious diseases fellowship at the University of Chicago, and received her MSCR degree from Morehouse School of Medicine.  She serves on the Executive Board for the Section on Infectious Diseases for the American Academy of Pediatrics.  She is committed to serving patients who are primarily from medically underserved areas and teaching the next generation of diverse biomedical researchers and physicians. She lives in Decatur, Georgia with Dan (spouse), and 2 children (Anna and Kate); Dr. Immergluck is a ‘closet’ foodie—who enjoys trying all different authentic ethnic foods, and looks forward to traveling with friends and family when it becomes safe to do so.
