CHATTANOOGA (Dec. 5, 2022) – The Urban League of Greater Chattanooga (Chattanooga, TN) is celebrating.

The Urban League is preparing for their upcoming Equal Opportunity Day Breakfast, which will take place this coming Thursday, Dec. 8th at 8 AM. It’s a milestone celebration, as it’s in 40th year.

President of the Urban League Candy Johnson said, “This year is extra special because it’s our 40th anniversary – 40 years for EOD and 40 years as an organization in the Chattanooga area.”

The theme this year is “Moments in the Movement”, where the organization will reflect on its past, present, and future.

“We’ll be having conversations and reflecting on who we are as an organization – why we were created, how far we’ve come and where we hope to be in the future. It’s looking at those moments that help us move forward.”

This event is the Urban League’s main fundraiser where they hope to raise funds for their various programs in workforce development, education, housing, and civil rights.
