Lorain County Urban League Guild’s Afternoon of Music

LORAIN COUNTY (Dec. 5, 2022) – The Lorain County Urban League (Elyria, OH) Guild provided the community with an afternoon of jazz music on Sunday, Dec. 4th.
Held at the Urban League offices on 200 Middle Avenue, the event is in its second year.
Urban League Guild President Angela Lee said, “The Urban League does so many things for our community so as the guild we are here to support them financially and as community volunteers. We’re here to better our community because we are the movement.”
The event also included a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle…and football.
At the event, there was a separate room for those who wanted to view the Cleveland Browns game.
“We wanted to be unique and ensure we could bring out the men as well,” Lee said. “That’s something new that we decided to add this year.”
Lydia Lee, a singer based in Elyria, was happy to be included in the event.
“I love the Urban League and all of the different things that they do to help represent us and they do it very well,” she said.
“I’m very proud of this team specifically because they have such a mighty impact, even though they’re small in number, which is amazing.”
