Knoxville Area Urban League Partners with Cherokee Health Systems to Provide Vaccines to Marginalized Communities

KNOXVILLE (Jan. 9, 2023) – In their mission to continue to reach out the marginalized communities, the Knoxville Area Urban League (Knoxville, TN) has partnered with the Cherokee Health Systems, along with the Fish Pantry to provide citizens within the Knoxville area with free health care, along with food and vaccines.
On Thursday, Dec. 29th, the Urban League joined Cherokee with its medical van and a small team to give out flu and COVID-19 vaccines outside of the Fish Pantry in the freezing temperatures. Over a hundred people showed up to receive boosters, vaccines, and health services.
Along with medical care, people also received boxes of food from the Fish Pantry.
