Greater Milwaukee Urban League Steps Up for Women of Color

MILWAUKEE (March 6, 2023) – The Greater Milwaukee Urban League (Milwaukee, WI) is stepping up for women of color.

The Urban League will be the presenting sponsor of Leaders LeadUp™, a new social community and platform for women of color in the Milwaukee area.

Dr. Eve Hall, President and CEO of the Urban League, said, “Greater Milwaukee Urban League is dedicated to providing and supporting opportunities that empower communities and change lives. We are thrilled to partner with Leaders LeadUp™ to kick off this important platform and the support it gives to women pursuing opportunities and excellence.”

While the platform is looking to assist women of color in the workplace, the platform will also provide training for employers to spotlight and support women and all underrepresented groups.

According to Leaders LeadUp™ founder Janette M. Braverman, the platform “is a platform to uplift, support, and amplify the talents and voices of amazing women of color and underrepresented groups. Leaders LeadUp™ was designed to connect women of color with some of the most successful executives and entrepreneurs around the world.”

It launches on Friday, March 24th, at a special event at the University Club of Milwaukee.
