Tracy Bolton

Tracy Bolton has dedicated over 30 years to working and volunteering with our community's most vulnerable individuals, children, and families. She has worked as an NYS Juvenile Justice Specialist, NYS Certified Gang Intervention Specialist, Crisis Intervention Leader, Re-Entry Transition Specialist, and Parent Skills Educator for families of incarcerated parents. Tracy has worked at the Buffalo Urban League for the past 16 years. She began as the Coordinator of Adult Re-Entry Services, working with the NYS Department of Corrections and Community Supervision inside the prisons, providing much-needed work readiness and transition services as a Certified Offender Workforce Development Specialist by the National Institute of Corrections. In her current position of Re-Entry Transition Specialist with the Growth Opportunity Grant, she has been instrumental in securing education, training and long-term gainful employment for her participants. Tracy has been a champion of advocating for criminal, social, economic, and racial justice, and her most recent endeavor includes the Clean Slate Initiative. Tracy brings a unique ability to connect and engage with the people and families she serves. Tracy believes empowerment is vital to finding success, and given options and opportunity, support, and guidance, these populations can achieve success at the highest level. Tracy offers firm, supportive, positive leadership, advice, and advocacy and goes above and beyond to assist the people she serves in obtaining goals and fulfilling dreams. Tracy believes this is rewarding work and an amazing opportunity to help people excel. Tracy has received the Re-Entry Services Championship for Justice Award - Presented by the Legal Aid Bureau of Buffalo Inc., and the Volunteer of the Year Award - Presented by Attica and Wyoming State Correctional Facilities
