Expanding Sweet Treat Hut in Philadelphia
Sweet Treat Hut operates at five retail locations and provides healthy smoothies and vegan food to low-income individuals. Sweet Treat Hut came to the Urban League of Philadelphia looking to expand its business in low-income neighborhoods. The Entrepreneurship Center of the Urban League of Philadelphia has been working with the company since the fall of 2022 providing coaching and training in marketing, strategic planning, procurement, and loan preparation.
The company needed capital to open a sixth location in North Philadelphia near Temple's campus. The Entrepreneurship Center assisted the company with securing a $575,000 loan to fund its expansion.
