Ensuring Black Communities Thrive in the Digital Economy: The Power and Promise of 5G

African American communities across America are embracing new technologies and innovations that have the potential to transform our communities by increasing economic opportunities and reducing social disparities. In the midst of COVID-19, the power of technology has become more apparent than ever. Join us for a discussion at the National Urban League’s Annual Legislative Policy Conference on how communities of color can leverage the power of and promise of 5G in today’s connected world. What is 5G? How will it improve people's lives? What do we need to do to make sure the benefits of 5G reach all communities? This session will showcase 5G and discuss the policies and community engagement necessary to help support its deployment in our communities.
