Senior Director, Media Relations

Since 2010, Teresa Candori has served Senior Director of Media Relations at the National Urban League, where she oversees communication and external affairs for the nation’s largest historic civil rights and social service non-profit. She previously managed communications for the Service Employees International Union, Local 32BJ; Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell’s Administration, and Pennsylvania Senate Democrats. She spent a little over a decade as a newspaper journalist, covering crime and courts. She studied journalism at the University of Pittsburgh, where she was managing editor of the four-times-weekly student newspaper and masterminded the Paper Hat advertising campaign of the nationally-televised 1986 Pitt-Villanova game. She lives in Harlem with her husband and cats, and has one adult son.
