National Urban League’s Energy Jobs Convening, presented by NextEra Energy, is a half-day of impactful discussions centered around answering the question “How does Black America win in the Energy Revolution & Transformation Age.” These conversations will be led by key stakeholders in the energy sector, including energy companies, coalitions, unions, training providers, nonprofits, and many more.

A panel discussion that addresses the needs of EV infrastructure, emphasizing the necessary jobs and educational pathways for African American workforce participation.

"Building Tomorrow: Residential and Commercial Housing"
Panel will explore today's construction needs and     environmental standards, particularly in low-income communities, centering on: inclusive workforce development; strategies to involve African American workers in advanced skilled roles; and equitable treatment for MBWE contractors during bidding processes.

11:30am - 12:15pm "How Does Black America/Do Communities of Color Win in the Energy Revolution & Transformation Age?"
Panelists will address disparities in urban planning where suburban interests overshadow those of urban communities.
