Relief from the Bottom Up

The Urban League Movement has been on the front lines of responding to crises affecting communities of color for over a century. From advocated for equal access to jobs during the Civil Rights Movement to combating employment from the 2008 recession through our jobs programs, we fight to protect the communities we serve.
We are working with members of Congress to shape a bottom-up recovery plan that puts sidelined workers, small businesses, and underserved communities first.
Much of the conversation around the economic impact of the outbreak has centered on bailouts for large corporations, but its most acute impacts are being felt on Main Streets around the country. We need a plan that immediately addresses families in low-income communities that are unable to work and can’t afford to buy basic needs - food, water, housing, utilities, etc.
Join our fight by calling your Senators and urge them to bailout families and working people big business. Share your situation with them and tell them why relief needs to hit home first.
