Empowering Our Young People and Giving Them a Voice

It's no secret that there's a disconnect between what young people need and what adults think they need. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, we believe that listening to students and supporting their development with their input is critical.

Developed under our signature program Project Ready, we are proud to announce our first National Urban League Youth Council. Comprised of Project Ready students from around the country, the Youth Council meets monthly to plan youth events and programming targeted at what matters to them most. 

The students also serve as an ambassador to their affiliate and commit to a year of building their voice and serving their communities.
