Mansour Camara
My name is Mansour Camara, I am 29 years old. I am currently the CFO at Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle. I provide financial leadership, oversee the annual audit, budgeting process, banking relations and financial reporting for the organization.
I did my undergraduate degree in accounting at the University of the Gambia and graduated in 2013 as the best accounting student. I was then offered a presidential scholarship to further my studies.
I moved to the US in 2014 to pursue MBA in Finance at City University of Seattle. During my MBA program I joined the Enactus team and presented at two national expositions in St Louis, Missouri and one regional exposition in Anaheim, CA. I also initiated and managed the Green Energy Project that empowers women in West Africa as well as reduce the harm caused by smoke associated with cooking with open fire. The project has been expanded to different countries in Latin America and Africa in recent years. The CityU Enactus team also named an award after me called the “Mansour award” the first of its kind awarded to the most outstanding team member. I also served as the Finance Chair of the Business Students’ Advisory Board at City University of Seattle.
I graduated in November 2016 and started working at Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle that very month. I began as a temporary accountant and was hired as a general accountant after six months. I served as Budget Officer and Controller prior to becoming the CFO.
